Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how CNC Experts SIA processes personal data when you use cncexperts.lv, contact us or send a quote request. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Latvian law.

2. What data we process

Contact form. Name, company, email address, phone number, message and the site language in which the form was filled in.

Quote request. Name, company, email address, phone number, technical details of the part (material, quantity, tolerances, surface finish, requested deadline), message and attached files — drawings and 3D models.

Provisional price estimate. If you use the instant price estimate on the quote page, the 3D model you choose (a STEP file), the material, process and quantity are sent to our server for the calculation. The file is measured automatically and is not kept after the calculation. No name or contact details are needed for the estimate. If you then send a quote request with that estimate, the file and the estimate result are stored with the request.

Correspondence. If you email or call us, we process the information you provide.

Technical data. When a form is submitted or a price estimate is calculated, your IP address is used briefly to limit automated (spam) use. It is not stored with the request.

Website usage statistics. Only with your consent, we use Google Analytics. See the cookie policy for details.

Please do not include sensitive personal data (for example, health data) in the forms — it is not needed to handle your request.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Answering your question, calculating a provisional price estimate and preparing a quote — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Fulfilling an order — performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
• Accounting and tax obligations where a transaction takes place — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
• Website usage statistics (Google Analytics) — your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
• Website and form security — our legitimate interest in protecting the site against abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).

4. Confidentiality of drawings and files

Drawings and 3D models you attach are often your intellectual property. They are not published, are not publicly accessible, and can be accessed only by authorised CNC Experts staff. We use the files to evaluate your request, prepare a quote and fulfil the order, and we do not share them with third parties other than the service providers listed in section 5, who store or transmit them on our behalf.

The instant price estimate is calculated on our own server. A 3D model submitted for an estimate is not passed to other service providers and is not kept unless you send a quote request.

5. Recipients

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for marketing. The following service providers (processors) process data on our behalf:

• Hostinger International Ltd — server hosting; the website, database and attached files are stored on a server in the European Union (Lithuania).
• Resend, Inc. (USA) — sending email notifications: notice of a new request to us and a confirmation to you.
• Our email service provider — storing the emails we receive.
• Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics, only with your consent.

We may also disclose data to public authorities where required by law.

6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Resend, Inc. and Google may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where the recipient participates in it) or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. How long we keep data

• Contact and quote requests, including attached files, where no contract follows — 1 year after the last communication, after which they are deleted.
• Where a contract is concluded, related data is kept for the duration of the contract and afterwards for the period required by law (including accounting law).
• Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in the Google Analytics settings; cookie lifetimes are listed in the cookie policy.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your personal data and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability);
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, write to info@cncexperts.lv. We will respond within one month. If you believe your data is processed in breach of the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv).

9. Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Requests and files are stored in a closed database and file store accessible only to authorised staff with personal user accounts.

10. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling. The instant price estimate is calculated automatically from the part's geometry; it is informative, is not an offer and creates no obligation for you. Quotes are prepared by an engineer.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date shown at the top.
